Mother Mary and Child from antique church fragment

Motherhood is no more finely represented than in the Blessed Mary. The weaving is of gold metallic on silk brocade then hand-tinted. The piece is inset into velveteen, side edged with tri-color silk/cotton cord. Backed with deep gold cotton damask.  Velcro closure. Poly filled for support of the gold weaving; down fill not recommended. This is an antiqued textile. Dust only. 18” X 18”.
