Since 4000 BC India has been a major exporter of shimmering fabrics embellished as this fragment is with beads, metallic embroidery, sequins and stones.  Always using rich color combinations when assembling what can only be called soft art, the women in 1930s sewing these fabrics hope you’ll treasure their work.
