At first, we hated it. Feared that which we could not see but heard by the hour was approaching. Unwanted and unprepared for a virus arrival, we were told to stay inside. But our demand internment wherever we lived was severe. Fear morphed into stoicism in the face of the loss of control, being told what to do. We don’t like that.
The inventiveness needed to swat away boredom had many of us looking around our homes and properties for activity and inspiration. Home and decor projects were launched, and the big home and garden warehouses have been a haven for many of us.
After I cleaned out every drawer and closet, I moved some furniture around. Freshened up with all new pillows and throws. My personal style is what I like to call global. I guess we used to call it eclectic but my accessories and art lean way toward Moroccan-South American. Buying small things on vacation is a wonderful way to have a daily memory of travel.
