About Pillow Talk Direct - Antique Textiles

About the Company

Pillow Talk was founded in 1985 in Scarsdale, New York. It began as an answer to 'what to do' with the linens and needlework I found while combing estate sales for furniture to sell through my antique store in Bronxville, New York a few miles away. While the antique furniture sales were steady the pillows made from the textiles were desired most. The more elegant the pillow, the faster it sold. Soon it became obvious where resources should be placed.

From $6 linen baby pillows to $3500 museum quality needlework banners...and from selling at street fairs and Connecticut cow fields to the line being represented by decorator showrooms in nine major cities throughout the US, Pillow Talk grew as an important resource for busy, discriminating designers and their clients.

Now, as an Internet only source, our pillows can be found in the homes of those seeking a piece of the past, an old-money mood that bespeaks timeless taste. In fact, Oh-so-well-known talk show hostesses and muscled governors have finished rooms with our one-of-a-kind soft treasures.

About the Products
The pillows and hangings shown here have been crafted from textiles of another age. They have been designed to enhance the beauty of the original handwork, some pieces over 200 years old. It is our hope that they be enjoyed by another generation.

All of the pillows have Velcro closings. The fillings are poly unless otherwise noted. Stuffing can be removed for flatter shipping but the price will not be affected. Backing fabric and fringes are new unless noted. All may be dry cleaned.

A few of the pillows have come back from showroom display in less than perfect condition. In that case, it will be clearly noted and the price reflects the condition. It may be an opportunity for you to acquire an antique textile fragment for a very low price and remake at your location. All pillows are sold as is due to their age and former lives I cannot know.

Enjoy!
